Healthy Lifestyle 2.0 Anticelebrity Diet
Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 08:07AM The Anticelebrity Diet
- Low fat and carb. Easy and fast. Tasty.
- Portion, calorie and fat conscious without deprivation.
- Getting '5 a day' of fruit and veg in, much through raw food
- Cutting out the bad stuff you know you shouldn't have. Do it in a way that works for you (I need structured, black and white stuff)
- The best of the celebrity, fad, health theories. More important than diet... is the EXERSIZE... this is what makes the difference!
- Supplements for individual needs -mine focused around immune system, skin, energy, mood, antioxidants, metabolism and general health. Use Healthy Direct - they're cheap than the supermarkets with amazing choice.
Breakfast:
- Glass of fruit juice mixed with 30g Hemp Natural Protein (High in protein, fibre and amino acids) and 3.5g of Urban Wheatgrass (full of nutrients, energy boosting)
- Fruit - a banana or tinned fruit or apple
Lunch:
- Glass of fruit juice mixed with 30g Hemp Natural Protein (High in protein, fibre and amino acids) and 3.5g of Urban Wheatgrass (full of nutrients, energy boosting)
- Fruit and Veg: e.g. 3-4 portions ofraw carrots, celery, tomatoes, peppers, cucumber, raisens or dried fruit (not too much), canned fruit like pineapple, grapefruit or peach
Dinner:
- Normal, portion conscious evening meal, of 400-500 calories. Something you enjoy, you know what you should and shouldn't be eating.
This is where I eat my carbs. My favourites- fahitas, lazy pesto/Quorn/pasta, creamy tomato pasta bake, jacket potato with cheese and beans, Noodle dish from Wagamama Cookbook .
Remember:
- You're allowed one or two naughty nights
- Stay hydrated - 2 litres of water (with squash if you like), green tea
- Always stick to brown bread or pasta- it fills you up quicker.
- If I'm hungry I go for one slice of seedy, brown toast with a tiny bit of spread, jam, cheese or pate. I never deprive or starve myself - just listen to my body and don't get exessive.
- You know what's good and bad for you. I still have the odd cup of coffee (no sugar) but things like a fizzy drinks, sweets and chocolate are treats. If offered one though, it's rude to say 'no' and can't do you any harm. I'm not a drinker but if you are, check units/alcohol here and think again.
I've been the guinea pig for this since Oct 1st 2009 -it's cleared up my skin, given me more energy, taken me a wobbly UK size 10 to an athletic, defined UK size 8.
My goal was to reduced body fat and tone up.You must do what works for you -this works for me! See Like It Lump It Change It 2.0 How To Make a Change.
