"I recommend sticking your foot in your mouth at any time*" (Plan B's and using what you've got)
Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 12:18PM We've heard it all before... "The best laid plans of mice and men oft go awry." (Of Mice and Men
)
Halloween was one of those times... I wrote how my costume was going to be a vampire, complete with stick on fangs and funky contact lenses.
Well you could say it went fangs up. The contact lenses were supposed to be a zombie-white-grey effect, but made no difference to my blue eyes. Then, then only one of my fangs would stick.
There was no time. Improvisation came in the form of uber-backcomed crazy hair and red lipstick to make a Crow
-esque face. It was bit less cliche than a vampire anyway.
The moral of the story:
- Do what you can with what you have, with everything...
- Use what make up, clothes, products that you already have instead of buying new ones.
- What skills or hobbies do you have that you could use to help yourself, others or sell?
- Look at what you do have, rather than what you don't is great for getting some perspective.
