'I don't want to be your hero, No, I am not open parts of me are broken*' (Heroes)

via PhotobucketWho is your hero? Real or fictional is good, whoever inspires you.
On the surface, being a 'hero' would seem all wine and roses. In many cases, people that turn out to be heroes were just doing what they love, or what seemed right (Steve Irwin - Croc Hunter)
via PhotobucketThe label of 'hero' can seem like a burden to those who didn't even want it, or get dizzy on the pedastal as they know their own flaws. The fame or being a role model is a difficult task. (Hot Rod/Rodomus Prime - Transformers, Peter Parker - Spiderman?).
To others, 'hero' is a label that is to be embraced along with it's apparent glamour (Doctor Who, Tony Stark - Iron man?) but behind closed doors genius' must pay a price for their brilliance.
via PhotobucketThen there's unlikely heros... the quiet or the clumsy who go through the absolute mill, lose everything and then still have to pull something out the bag to finish the job, which sometimes leads to even more loss (Usagi - Sailor Moon, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Captain Jack - Torchwood).
Life isn't straightforward for the 'normal' person, even less so for 'heroes'.
Neither is it for the 'unchosen ones' and sidekicks: 'You might not be the chosen one, still you wait for your time to come'.
